About JVC
Vanderkolk Construction Inc. is a family-owned and operated business established in 1978 by John and Carolyn Vanderkolk. With a truck and one employee, John and Carolyn set out to build a business that would support their family and serve their community.
In 1993, Ty Vanderkolk, their son, joined the company after graduating from Purdue University. Over the past 20 years, Ty has been leading and growing the company, continuing his parents’ vision of delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.
In 2007, Seth Graves joined the team as a carpenter and has since grown into his role as lead project manager and part owner. The team now includes 14 full-time employees, all dedicated to maintaining the family-first values Vanderkolk Construction was founded on.
In 2017, Ty's daughter, Kali Ferger, joined the company as a carpenter after graduating high school. She now plays an integral role in managing and completing projects. In 2022, Maddy House, another of Ty's daughters, brought her talents to the team as an in-house interior designer after graduating from Purdue University.
We are proud to have a close-knit team of friends and family working alongside us every day. This unity and dedication have allowed us to honor and build upon the legacy John and Carolyn began so many years ago.

Preconstruction Design
When you give us a call or shoot us a message, we will take your thoughts and ideas and put them into a plan on paper!
Design & Estimate
After you sign our contract and we meet, we will start designing your project together and getting estimates on all the things you want to incorporate into your home!
The Building Stages
Once we get everything nailed down, we will start construction by digging the foundation!
The Finishing
Touches
This is the fun part! After the shell of your home is built and the design details start to go in, you will start to see your dreams come to life!
